Give me a break. This is not a sign of subservience nor a sign that the United States has "prostrated" itself in the eyes of the entire world. Seriously -_- To me, I think it is a mere sign of respect to an person of importance in another country. Obama visited Japan, excepted their hospitality, met the emperor of Japan and greeted him in the most respectful way he could think of. PERIOD. Even if it was a faux pas to do so because of the "pride" of USA or whatever, I think showing a bit of humility is not a bad thing once in a while, dont you think so too? The world image of America has been dog shit after the Bush administration. Don't expect people to just forget everything just because the US has a new president now. Having a fresh and newly elected president, who has hopes of creating a world free of nuclear arms, go around the world with a peaceful and humble, yet hopeful image could be the way to ignite friendships and diplomacy again. Quoting from an unknown guy on the internet, "Obama is breaking down the introspective arrogance of Americans, which is a good thing for the world and Americans." Exactly.
All the people who are critizing Obama for this should stop fussing around and go back to playing with their boogers in the sandbox.

han oppa and i are dead broke. we have nothing to eat at home except some vegetables and old stuff that people gave us when they went back to korea or china or what not. and being typical asians, although there was nothing in our fridge to cook, we had a lot of rice... -__-'
this is what poor students like us eat when we are broke. dinner on sunday was japanese curry with onions and chinese cabbage (????) that was all that was left. and we had cold soba noodles with kimchi.
dinner on monday night was korean style poor people dinner. we made YUMMY BIMBIMBAB! it had some carrots, mushrooms, some weird korean grassy vegetables that sungjun oppa gave us before he went back to korea, 2 eggs, kimchi and tons of gochujang that han oppa brought from korea. oppa loves to mix his bimbimbab :) we were very happy
thats how it looked like. we made enough bimbimbab for 3 or 4 people...
but we finished all of it -_-
oh, the fatness of me... :'( we were very happy though. i think it was the best poor people's dinner ever. it was super super yummy :D

squirrels in minnesota are like the mynahs in singapore. they dominate the trees and any open grassy patch during the spring, summer and fall. they are everywhere, and they are not afraid of humans. they are like our friends and scamper around us during their daily lives in search of yummy squirrel food.
han oppa and i saw so many squirrels on the way to school this morning. so, our morning conversation went something like this:
Oppa: why are there so many squirrels? Me: because they are cute! ^^ Oppa: That makes no sense at all according to the theory of evolution.. *very serious*
-__- trust a computer science and biochem major to make take my comment so seriously.
anyway, its 2 in the morning, and i should be preparing and memorizing my 6 minute presentation in japanese on okinawa tmr. and oh, i looked at val's blog and was super jealous of her. she baked an apple cinnamon tart and it looked soooo delicious! stupid apartment. the kitchen area is so small that there is no space at all to do anything.. i want to bake T^T
oh, and IMAN, get well soon. あしたしけんはがんばってね!

i found lots of shit on the internet today. oh, the awesomeness of the great ol'internet!
Obama-mania in China! Click on the picture and see Obama wearing the military green communist uniform with the words "ObaMao" on it. This is hilarious. I want that purse! :) Anybody going to China?
Optical illusion. Can you find the face of a man in the beans? took me a few minutes to do so. apparently, my brain is not active enough.. -_-
I also learnt about the power of makeup. :/ look at how this girl became from this:
Finally, i decided to add another thing to my "Things to do before i die" list. I want to go to Zimbabwe to go swimming at the edge of Victoria falls, at Devil's Pool. Check it out! Its SO COOOOOL! :D You can click here to see the page.
sigh, i shall fetch my head back from the clouds and return to paying attention in Chinese class.

Bella Luna Mystery the moon A hole in the sky A supernatural nightlight So full but often right A pair of eyes a closing one A chosen child in golden sun A marble dog that chases cars To farthest reaches of the beach and far beyond into the swimming sea of stars
The cosmic fish they love to kiss They're giving birth to constellations No riffs and oh no reservation If they should fall you get a wish or dedication
You're the ghost of royalty imposing love You are the queen and king combining everything Intertwining like a ring around the finger, of a girl I'm just a singer, you're the world All I can bring ya is the language of a lover Bella luna, my beautiful beautiful moon How you swoon me like no other
